The course ‘Contemporary Issues in Urban Geography and Urban Economics’ explores:
- Contemporary urban phenomena
- Spatial structures and dynamics shaping modern cities
- Interplay between local urban processes and global economic, social, and environmental challenges
- Critical and interdisciplinary approaches to urban policy and futures
Course Goals / By the end of the course students will:
- Understand of theories and concepts related to urban geography and economics
- Analyse urban transformations
- Assess planning and governance strategies
- Interpret urban governance frameworks
- Understand urban analytics and spatial analysis
- Engage in critical debates on urban challenges
