The course ‘Contemporary Issues in Urban Geography and Urban Economics’ explores:

  • Contemporary urban phenomena
  • Spatial structures and dynamics shaping modern cities
  • Interplay between local urban processes and global economic, social, and environmental challenges
  • Critical and interdisciplinary approaches to urban policy and futures

Course Goals / By the end of the course students will:

  • Understand of theories and concepts related to urban geography and economics
  • Analyse urban transformations
  • Assess planning and governance strategies
  • Interpret urban governance frameworks
  • Understand urban analytics and spatial analysis
  • Engage in critical debates on urban challenges
