Περιγραφή Μαθήματος
The course will provide learners with a conceptual framework of diversity in human relationships and its implications in the relational context. Learners will gain insight into the impact of cultural diversity on friendship, parenting, professional, and romantic relationships. Within this scope, important theories and empirical evidence will be discussed, highlighting factors that facilitate positive dyadic interactions, such as cross-cultural communication, cultural self-awareness, and cross-cultural sensitivity. Emphasis will be placed on inclusive approaches in dyadic relationships and their implementation through diversity training programs. Lecture-based presentations will introduce theories, while research findings will be interactively discussed. Additionally, learning to manage cultural differences is essential for personal development and wellbeing. Therefore, learners will engage in experiential activities and reflective practices aimed at managing diversity in dyadic human relationships. Learners’ reflections on these activities will be linked with theory and research findings.
