Περιγραφή Μαθήματος

The course considers issues of human diversity, broadly defined to include race, ethnicity, culture, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, and ability. Students will initially be introduced to the similarities and differences among the concepts of diversity, diversity management, and intersectionality, as well as to the mainstream and critical perspectives through which these concepts are applied to organizations. Then, the course emphasizes the importance of cultural awareness and cross-cultural skills for managing diversity, relying on models of multicultural competence. Students will be introduced to key issues related to cultural intelligence in domains such as the workplace, education, social groups, and human relationships.
