This course completes the teaching of the General Theory of the State and the organizational part of Constitutional Law. In particular, upon successful completion of the course, students will know:

• The concepts about the structure of the State
• The distinction between the Unitary and the Federative States
• The statal organs as the base of the state.
• The general principles of the centralization and decentralization of the state
• The theory of the local administration and self administration
• The regimes and the divisions of the political systems.
• The election and the function of the Parliament and the Government.
• The legal position, the election and the competence of the President of the Greek Republic
• The theory of Fundamental rights
• The constitutional protection of the Fundamental rights
• The international protection of the Fundamental rights

ASSESSMENT

Students should submit an essay on relative fields of the General Theory of the State or the Constitutional Law, followed by an oral examination on it.
